Just Wanted to say HI

Hello all,

Just received an email about this site and decided to join. I belong to a number of other web forums and sometimes I think I spend more time on the computer than I do building, but, hey, this is part of the fun, too.

I have only completed a few ship models including the Golden Hind by Heller, the Midwest Crabbing Skiff, and the Armed Virginia sloop by Model Shipways. Am currently building the Pride of Baltimore II also by Model shipways.

Hope to get into scratchbuilding someday, but right now have no place at all for power tools other than an airbrush booth (that supports my plastic modeling as well).

Anyway, it's nice to be here....looking forward to a lot of good discussion.

I appreciate the offer and may well take you up on it. At this point, I have just finished installing the bulkheads and am starting on the bow and stern blocks so it is still in it's very early stages.

Hi John,

Welcome to the community! Thanks for posting. Like you, I'm still pretty new at this myself, which is why I started this. I love reading up on it (while I should be working!) but I also hope people can learn from the expertise that is out there.
